Bluebird Farm History.

Michael Sikule, Sr. bought the property in 1945 after welding ships in Brooklyn during the war. He moved upstate with his mother and ran a boarding house called Bluebird Farm while continuing to weld. In 1953, he met Julie—“a Brooklyn career girl”—at a Memorial Day party. Their summer romance led to marriage, four kids, and a life filled with love and community. Over time, the property evolved with a barn addition, a hand-built wishing well, and a pond transformation. As Town Justice, Michael even married couples at the well.

In 2017, the siblings inherited the farm. Inspired by a family engagement and the property's rich history, they restored the barn together—turning it into the wedding venue it is today.
